About the Talent Search Transitions Program The Talent Search Transitions Program at ECC provides academic, career, and financial counseling to participating students to help them graduate from high school and continue onto post-secondary education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to and complete their postsecondary education. The program publicizes the availability of financial aid and assist participant with the postsecondary application process. Talent Search also encourages persons who have not completed education programs at the secondary or postsecondary level to enter or reenter and complete postsecondary education.

The goal of Talent Search is to increase the number of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in and complete their postsecondary education. The program serves students per academic year, a student can enter the program as a 6th grader and continue in the program until they graduate from high school. Talent Search also tracks students for six years after they graduate from high school.

The program also has a target area in the city of Milwaukee which consist of; Good Hope Road on the north, 92nd Street on the west, Lincoln Avenue on the south and east towards the Lake.

Talent Search provides students opportunities to participate in various academic related workshops, assistance in preparing for college entrance exams, mentoring activities, tutoring services, career exploration, exposure to college campus, information on post-secondary institutions; education or counseling services designed to improve the financial and economic literacy of students, guidance on and assistance in secondary school reentry, and entry into general educational development programs or post-secondary education.

Advisors assistance students with completing college admissions, housing, scholarship and financial aid applications. Talent Search provides students with resources available to them once they enter post-secondary enrollment.
