Best delay plug in pro tools

A good, solid delay that should make a nice companion to your other quirkier plug-ins. Like the original hardware unit that inspired its design, the plug-in is noisy, unpredictable, and wonderfully lo-fi. How closely it actually replicates the sound of the Copicat is up for contention.

But one thing is for sure: the Watkat does add a lot of character to your tracks. ReaDelay is a multi-tap delay that can have individual delays of as long as 10 seconds, with practically no tap count limit.

Tap lengths can be set to time values or quarter notes. The option to choose one or the other is always good to have in a delay, and it is an especially nice touch in a free plug-in. The good range of modulation options make it capable of producing cool flanger effects, and there is even a variable filter for more creative options.

But they can all handle a broad range of delay tasks, from standard echoes and slapback to flanging and chorusing, to more outlandish effects. With its array of features, its modulation options, and great sound, this is one of the best free delay vst plugins that can stand up proudly against the best paid offerings on the market.

Thank you, Nicola. I often add saturation on my reverb or delay channels so the Tal delays are a step ahead of me with this, I can totally see myself replacing my go to stock delay with one of these. Get that free dub feeling! So this delay works as a stand alone plugin, a Reason rack extension or as a snap-in module on the Kilohearts Snap Heap which bundles a few other free snap-ins including chorus, EQ and a limiter. The controls are nice and basic with delay time at the top shown in note values.

The duck control is my favourite part of this plugin, it will duck the delay while there is dry signal, meaning that you can crank up the delay level without it interfering with the dry source. It works great as a really quick way of setting up a throw delay without any automation! There is a manual online, but the plugin also displays tooltips at the bottom as you hover over each control. This plugin comes with a handful of basic presets, and it has a randomizer button that can be quite fun if you are looking for something fresh!

Do not delay! For FREE! It has no modulation capability so this is purely a delay plugin with quite a digital feel. It has a ducker section with a few more parameters than the Kilohearts delay, which is nice however I feel like the ducker on the KH Delay just works and I actually prefer certain one knob solutions. In the menu there is a link to a manual but there are also great tooltips that explain each parameter as you hover.

There are a few presets although they are not clearly labelled. Another FREE delay? Why yes! Overall the interface is quite clean and it has pretty much all the bells and whistles!

It seems to work well without any bugs but it feels to me a little like a work in progress. The drive sound is pretty harsh, there are no value readouts on any of the knobs and only a handful of presets. I think it has some potential and if you support the developer he could possibly get a version 2 out with a few tweaks that would make this a worthy replacement for your stock delay. Grab it. There is no installer for this plugin, so you have to manually copy the files into the relevant folders including your user AppData folder which is hidden by default in Windows, but hey!

You guys are engineers right, you can figure this simple stuff out! The interface also contains a stutter section, a low-pass filter, and a modulation matrix for some extra sound manipulation options. Here are the best January deals in Click here for the full list. This plugin has two high resolution FFT spectrum displays that display your delay feedback signals in real time.

This dual band delay tool also includes a quantizable delay time feature, pan, feedback, response, and sweep down options for added versatility. This is unique, surprisingly powerful delay VST plugin that is definitely worth checking out. Valhalla Freq Echo is another simple free delay VST plugin with an incredibly easy-to-understand interface. This is an ideal tool for beginners to learn the basic concepts and functions of delay effect processing.

On top of this, the sound quality of this plugin is really impressive.
